Do modern mixing taps have washers? – No, they have a sealed cartridge, that controls the mix and flow of the water. We can identify the correct cartridge and install a new one for you.

Why is my tap is leaking from under the handle? – you probably need a new cartridge.

Why is my tap cartridge leaking? – These cartridges do not last forever, they can be affected by dirt and grit that comes through the pipes, especially after the council has worked in the watermains in the area.

My tap is leaking out from around the swivel spout, can it be fixed? – Once a tap gets to this stage a replacement tap is usually the best option.

Do you change old fashioned tap washers? – Yes, Muir Plumbing also change washers, we do it all.
